Instead of (KJV / RSV): tempt / test / test
Note: Test, try: "testing him" (John 6:6); "to be tested by the devil" (Matt 4:1); Abraham "being tested" (Heb 11:17); "let no one being tested say, 'I am being tested by God'" (Jas 1:13). The expected English is "tempt" in the Gospels and "test" here: trial and temptation are one word in the Greek, and the one gloss keeps both
