To shine out, show oneself: Luke 1:79 "to shine forth on those sitting in darkness"; Acts 27:20; Titus 2:11; 3:4 "the grace of God has shone forth." Of φαίνω "shine" (95, to be declared). In Gen 35:7 for the Masoretic version's "were uncovered"
